An Invitation to a Community Discussion on the Arts

1. To update the community on the progress of my arts bills and initiatives currently in Parliament Including:

a. Parliamentary Visual Artist Laureate – S-202

b. Declaration Respecting the Essential Role of Artists and Creative Expression in Canada – S-208

c. Artist Resale Rights and the Copyright Act

d. Initiatives regarding fraud against artists in Canada

e. Cultural Diplomacy f) Issues affecting the Arctic

2. To update the community on working with government for specific initiatives and needs

3. To hear the issues you wish me to bring forward in my final speech in the Chamber prior to my retirement For future consideration by the Senate, or government, either as legislation or regulations
