Artist’s Statement

As a painter, I am inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the inner calm that comes when we stop to take it in. My current work focuses on landscapes and floral still life, which I paint primarily using acrylic on canvas.

My paintings evoke a sense of contemplation and reverence for the beauty in the world around us. I am fascinated by the interplay between light and shadow, and how it can transform an object or scene into something magical. I seek to capture this magic in my work, and to draw the viewer in, inviting them to experience the world in a new way.

While my primary style is realism, I enjoy experimenting with different mediums, techniques, and approaches to art, as well as a variety of subject matter. I find that these explorations help me grow as an artist and refine my vision. Whether it's through abstract work or mixed media pieces, I continue to look for new ways to express myself and push the boundaries of my creativity.

I consider each painting I create an opportunity to improve my technical skills and refine my creative process, as well capture a moment of beauty and inspiration. Ultimately, one of my goals is that my paintings will trigger an emotional response in the viewer that stems from their personal experiences and memories.
