The Manitoba Society of Artists (MSA) welcomes applications from all professional artists – from traditional painting and drawing, as well as artists working in sculpture and 3 dimensional materials.  Members must reside within the province of Manitoba, Canada.   The jury panel committee meets 3 times a year, January, May and September to consider new member applications.  The application cut-off dates  are:  January 1, May 1 and September 1.


Membership is geared towards professional artists and application includes an adjudication process.

Renew Membership


The Manitoba Society of Artists membership year runs from September 1 to August 31. 


Membership Renewal is $50 and due on September 1 of each year.


There a many benefits of becoming a member of our active organization.  Members can:

  • keep up-to-date with the MSA and fellow artists through the newsletter, website, social media and regular email update alerts of current news and exhibits in the art community

  • setup an artist profile/gallery on our website, and be included in the Membership Directory. 

  • get involved in social events, art conferences, membership meetings and group or individual exhibitions.  Meet artists, collectors and art enthusiasts. 

  • the credentials “MSA” designation after their name, a professional standard that is recognized internationally.

  • Participate in member-only gallery and online exhibitions.

  • Be a part of a Longstanding Organization.  Established in 1902, MSA is deep rooted and is a recognized professional organization with a rich history of promoting visual arts in Manitoba.
